Vehya is seeking an electrical engineer to join our growing team. The electrical engineer responsibilities will include managing the site assessment process for new electrical equipment, using design software to produce schematics, and overseeing the installation process of their designs.

To be successful as an electrical engineer at Vehya, you should demonstrate focus on safety and quality assurance in the sustainability industry. Design, develop, and maintain electrical systems for products like EV chargers, solar, battery storage, and microgrids. Also, a willingness to provide support for service providers, such as electricians working in the field.

Electrical engineer’s responsibilities:

1. Understanding and implementing designs from technical drawings.
2. Interacting with contractors and customers using verbal and electronic communication.
3. Making presentations to clients and coworkers.
4. Attending company meetings.
5. Creating product documentation and records.
6. Preparing cost estimates for customers and other employees.
7. Inspecting electrical components during installation and service intervals.
8. Testing electronics for problems and proposing solutions.

Electrical engineer’s requirements:

1. At least a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an accredited school
2. Communication skills to explain technical specifics to peers and customers.
3. Writing skills for preparing manuals, parts lists, proposals, and design documentation.
4. Willingness to advise service providers.
5. Willingness to learn electrical systems.
6. Willingness to educate oneself on new technologies in the sustainability industry.
7. Willingness to learn and use industry-specific tools to analyze and test electronics.
8. Time-management skills for meeting deadlines.
9. Pay Rate: $20-$65 per hour
